Beach to Bayou Trail

The Beach to Bayou Trail is a 2-mile pedestrian and bicycle trail extending from Douglas Beach on Lake Michigan to Wade's Bayou, just east of Downtown Douglas. It serves as a beautiful trek from the City's public beach through the Downtown District to pristine views of Lake Kalamazoo. Look for Beach to Bayou Signs along Center Street. 

Saugatuck Brewing Company

Started in 2005 as a bold startup with hopes and dreams, Saugatuck Brewing Company has evolved into a full production microbrewery and family friendly pub. Visitors and locals can join SBC's pint club, take a tour of the brewing facility, or even brew their own beer on premise.

Saugatuck-Douglas Historical Society

Featuring a museum and many local historical artifacts, the Saugatuck - Douglas Historical Society works to preserve and share local history. As a cornerstone in the community, SDHS researches to discover, collect and interpret local history in all its forms. The society also archives historical objects and documents, and protects important architecture and green space. The museum features exhibitions and publication designs to make history fresh and memorable, and is involved in educational programing to engage students and adults; visitors and locals.

Beery Field

Home to the Douglas Dutchers vintage base ball club, Beery Field is an activity center in Douglas. In addition to base ball played by "throwback" rules, Beery Field hosts Douglas Summer Socials, serves as a starting point for parades, and features a playground.

Running Rivers

Explore the beauty of Douglas from the water! Running Rivers Paddle Board and Kayak Rentals are the perfect way to see the natural beauty of the lower Kalamazoo river and Kalamazoo Lake. Visitors regularly sight Bald Eagles, fox, deer and a variety of waterbirds on their river tours.

Harbor Duck Tours

Tour picturesque Saugatuck and Douglas on land and by water! Harbor Duck Adventures Co. has transformed a World War 2 Army amphibious vessel into one big water taxi that's 31 feet long, seating approximately 20 people. Tours wind through downtown Saugatuck and across the bridge to Douglas. Hop off the Duck in Douglas and enjoy the village, then ride the Duck back to Saugatuck as it splashes into the waters of the Kalamazoo River and Saugatuck Harbor.
