Statement
The Health & Environment
Committee was formed in April of 2002 with the following purpose:
This Committee will focus on any and all issues related to water,
ground, air, and noise pollution. Recent pollution concerns over
TCE, arsenic, and e-coli should be the initial focus of this Committee,
with a strong working relationship being established with the
DEQ. It is proposed that the Committee be comprised of at least
three residents of the Village with experience and expertise in
the focus areas, and one member from the Council. The meeting
schedule should be no less than monthly at the outset, and may
be reduced to bimonthly depending on need. Finally, the City of
Saugatuck and the Township will be invited to participate.
